The interested candidates can submit their online application through the official website of GATE 2021 website — gate.iitb.ac.in.
The last date to submit the online applications for the GATE 2021 is September 30. Candidates can apply online up to October 7 with a late fee. The last date to change category, paper, and examination city with an additional fee is November 13.
GATE 2021 admit card will be released on January 8, 2021, and the exam will commence on February 5. IIT Bombay will announce the GATE 2021 results through the online portal on March 22, 2021.
The exam will be conducted through a computer-based test (CBT) mode and the duration of the exam will be three hours.
GATE is a national level entrance examination conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) at Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, and Roorkee on behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB)-GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India.
Candidates who seek admission and/or financial assistance to Postgraduate Programs (Master’s and Doctoral) with Ministry of Education (MoE) and other Government Scholarships / Assistantships, subject to the admission criteria of the admitting institute need to qualify GATE.
Some Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) also consider GATE score for their recruitment and by several other universities in India and abroad for admissions.
GATE 2021 score will remain valid for three years from the date of announcement of results.
