Universities can start conducting classes on a pilot basis from October 15 onwards in batches of 15-20 students, said sources. While internal assessment is mandatory, colleges are not to hold internal exams in the pen-and-paper format till further guidelines are issued. The semester system has to be continued. There will be 30% weightage for internal assessment while 70% will be for the scores of university-level exams. “Colleges can provide project work to students, conduct weekly tests, or even evaluate performance by way of group discussions as part of internal assessment,” a source said.
