In the case of English-medium candidates, the board had committed mistakes in two questions of one mark each for the first question paper that had physics and chemistry subjects combined, said sources. For Gujarati- and Hindi-medium students, the physics and chemistry combined question paper had an error of one mark. As a result, these marks have been awarded to students in advance while releasing the answer key, said sources. Students can calculate their marks ahead of the announcement of results, based on the provisional answer key released. If candidates find any issue with the answer key, they can report to the board by September 1.
The questions were in MCQ format and the time duration for each subject was one hour.
The state-level entrance exam is held annually for science students seeking admissions in degree engineering and pharmacy courses in government, grant-in-aid and self-financed engineering institutions in Gujarat.
