IBPS PO Prelims Exam Analysis 2020: Today is the 2nd day of IBPS PO Prelims 2020 Exam. As per the exam analysis by Gradeup, the first shift of IBPS PO Pre Exam is of “Easy to Moderate” level. However, a few questions in the Quantitative Aptitude sections were a bit calculative. The IBPS PO Exam is being conducted to recruit Probationary Officers in 11 Public Sector Banks of the country. Candidates who will secure the cut off marks in the Prelims Exam will be eligible to appear for the Mains Exam followed by an Interview. IBPS PO Prelims 2020 Exam Analysis: Key Highlight

  1. The sequence of the exam was the English Language > Quantitative Aptitude > Reasoning Ability.
  2. Each sectional has a sectional timing.
  3. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer. No marks will be deducted for an answered question.
  4. The overall difficulty level of the IBPS PO Pre 2020 paper was of Easy to Moderate.
  5. Some of the questions in the quantitative aptitude were a bit calculative.
  6. English and Reasoning Ability Sections were quite scoring and easy.
  7. No major changes were seen except in the difficulty level of the questions.

IBPS PO Pre 2020: Criteria For Cut Off

Candidates are required to crack two types of cutoffs in IBPS PO pre exam- Sectional and Overall cutoff. The candidates will have to secure both the cut off’s to be eligible to appear for the Mains Exam. However, IBPS PO Prelims is of qualifying nature, no marks will be added in the final merit list. The IBPS PO Pre cut off will be decided on the basis of the following criteria laid down:

  • The overall cutoff is the minimum aggregate marks scored in the exam.
  • The number of students appearing in the exam.
  • The number of IBPS PO Vacancies.
  • The difficulty level of the Examination. Higher the difficulty level, lower the IBPS Cut off will be.
  • Category of the candidate.

The IBPS has successfully conducted the PO Exam for the 1st shift of 10th October 2020. The IBPS PO Exam was conducted with all the necessary precautions in view of COVID 19 pandemic and with the same interface as it was on the first day of the exam, which is 3rd October.
