JEE Main registration reopened till May 24 for aspirants who decided to give the foreign campuses a miss this year

NEW DELHI: In order to accommodate Indian engineering and architecture aspirants who decided against joining colleges abroad due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the National Testing Agency has reopened online registration for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) main on Tuesday. The facility for correction in applications for already registered candidates has also been reopened from May 25 to May 31, 2020, where students can also opt for change in location and centre preference.

Announcing the fresh online registration, Vineet Joshi, director general, NTA said that in view of the changed circumstances and in view of the representations from various Indian students who were scheduled to join colleges abroad but are now keen to pursue their studies in the country the NTA has decided to offer one opportunity. The aspirants can now apply online till May 24, 2020.

Moreover, those aspirants who could not complete their registration because of the nation-wide lockdown are also given an opportunity for the same till May 24.

In a separate notice NTA stated that correction in candidate particulars and choice of centre cities in the inline application form for JEE (main) due to constraints in light of the pandemic will be made available for seven days from May 25, 2020.

JEE (main) exams will be held from July 18 to July 23, 2020.
