OJEE chairman SK Chand said they are conducting examinations in three shifts per day. Around 3600 students have appeared in each shift on the first day of the test. “We have recorded 70 per cent turnout on first shift, while 71 per cent in second shift and third shift respectively,” he added.
Lateral entry to BTech examinations was conducted on Monday and it will continue on Tuesday too. “We have taken all precautions and Covid-19 protocols of the government in examination centres. It is a contact less and incident-free examination,” he added.
This computer based test is conducted like JEE Main. OJEE is being held at 54 examination centres in 21 cities of Odisha and five centres outside the state. Around 79,800 candidates have registered their names to appear the OJEE.
OJEE has also started online registration from Monday (5pm) for students who want to take part in the counseling for BTech, BArch and integrated MSc courses. Candidates with JEE Main ranks can fill their choices online. Choice locking and registration will be ended on October 26.
On October 28, round-I allotment will be displayed. Candidates can pay their fees, upload documents and exercise freeze/float option between October 29 and November 1 to get a seat for admission. Last day to respond to query (Round-I) on November 3.
Registration for Special OJEE BTech rank holders or JEE Main rank holders not registered in earlier counseling process will be conducted between October 30 and November 3. Round-2 allotment will be displayed on November 5. Newly allotted candidates can report online for admission between November 6 and November 9.
Round-3 allotment will be displayed on November 12. Final round allotment will be held on November 15. The whole process of counselling will be end on October 15.
