The exam schedule of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) that was scheduled to begin from June 16 has been scrapped. Varsities have been asked not to prepare any separate exam time table as the DHE will make one for all. The officials of higher education department conducted a meeting along with officials of various varsities via video conference on Monday.
“We will soon be coming out with an exam calendar for students of various undergraduate and postgraduate courses of all state universities,” said DHE additional director Dr Suresh Silawat, who will be acting as a moderator during the process.
The department has also said that they will be conducting separate examination as well, he added. The officials decided that the sanitisation work will be done in an efficient manner and between regular intervals without fail.
Considering the pandemic, higher educational institutions will also have to make certain that norms of social distancing are maintained not only among students, but the employees of the institutions as well. Moreover, lead colleges will be made observers during the examination.
“Within a span of a couple of days, we will issue a new academic calendar for the new session. It will be followed by all varsities and institutions,” said Silawat.
During the meeting, document verification process for the BEd colleges was also removed considering the situation. It was decided in the meeting that physical verification of documents will be done by the colleges for BEd later and not during the admission process as social distancing might not be maintained.
